Catherine has extensive experience of bankruptcy petitions in the High Court and the county courts. She has applied for and opposed applications to set aside statutory demands. Catherine has acted for petitioning creditors, supporting creditors and debtors. She has advised HMRC, and also acted against HMRC on numerous occasions.
Catherine has appeared many times in the Companies Court winding up list. She has drafted petitions and supporting documents in more complicated cases. Catherine has also acted in applications for injunctions to prevent presentation and advertisement.
Catherine is on HM Attorney General’s C panel, and was formerly on the panel of Junior Counsel to the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills for Directors’ Disqualification hearings. Catherine therefore has a great deal of advisory and advocacy experience in directors’ disqualification matters.
Catherine has contributed to Tolley’s Insolvency Law and the forthcoming Insolvency Litigation Handbook.
