Consumer Credit Regulation

Members of Chambers advise and undertake drafting for creditors and owners. They are frequently asked to draft or review standard documents to comply with applicable statutory requirements, whether the agreement is within or outside the UK legislation implementing the 2008 Consumer Credit Directive. Our members also provide advice and drafting in relation to matters arising during the currency of a regulated agreement – for example, whether a change to the terms of the agreement will involve the creation of a modifying agreement and how to satisfy the requirements of the Information Requirements Regulations 2007.
