William Brazil v Norwich City Council [2017/1102] F-t T (Property Chamber) Land Registration Division

Judge McAllister has dismissed an adverse possession claim brought by Mr Brazil who claimed to have acquired title to valuable development land off Mile Cross Road, Norwich.

Clive Moys, instructed by NP Law solicitors, successfully represented Norwich City Council.

Unusually, the Judge not only ordered the Chief Land Registrar to cancel Mr Brazil’s two applications (adverse possession and alteration of the Register), she went further, ordering the Chief Land Registrar to reject unilaterally any future application (rectification had been intimated) made by Mr Brazil concerning the land.
