Francesca Quint and Elizabeth Ovey are both taking part in a one day Conference ‘Charity Law Review 2012’, organised by Central Law Training, which is to be held in central London on 21 September 2012. The Conference will be considering the recommendations of Lord Hodgson’s Review of the Charities Act 2006, published on 16 July.
Lord Hodgson’s Review is the most important charity law event of the year, and all those interested in charity law will find the conference helpful in understanding the issues and relevant to their practice over the next few years. Changes in the law and practice, including new legislation, are likely, but in the meantime the charity sector is buzzing with comment and controversy.
Francesca is chairing the conference and speaking on Public Benefit and the Equality Act whilst Elizabeth is speaking about the various of ways of dealing with complaints and disputes within, between or about charities. Other specialist speakers include Rosie Chapman and Professor Gareth Morgan.
The conference attracts 6 hours CPD.
