Radcliffe Chambers hosts award-winning student barrister experience programme for fourth year

Yesterday evening saw the final session of Radcliffe’s 2021 sixth-form barrister experience programme, hosted in collaboration with leading legal youth organisation, BVL.

This is the second year that Radcliffe Chambers has hosted the programme online, and fourth year that the programme has taken place. It won Diversity and Inclusion Initiative of the Year: Chambers at the UK Diversity Legal Awards 2018.

Although we would very much like to welcome students to our offices in the near future, we were delighted to have the opportunity to work with BVL again to deliver the experience online and to be able to involve 20 students from schools around the country.

As in 2020, our 2021 experience programme took place over four evenings and included sessions on civil law, advocacy, interview skills and career progression. In addition, all student participants are paired with a barrister mentor, who is there to offer them career advice on an ongoing basis.

We would like to thank BVL and all the students who participated for their commitment to making the programme a success.
