Profile: Overview

Martin has substantial experience and expertise in many areas of corporate and commercial dispute resolution, including insolvency, from a number of jurisdictions.  He is extremely versatile, both as an adviser and an advocate having acted for many different kinds of clients including small businessmen, financial institutions, funds, high net worth individuals and insolvency practitioners.

Experience and Expertise

Martin specialises in commercial litigation, corporate and shareholder disputes, and contentious corporate insolvency. Martin was a Barrister with a leading commercial chancery set in Lincoln’s Inn before joining Appleby a leading global offshore law firm, in 2009 to practice as a Barrister and Attorney in Bermuda.  Appleby is ranked as a first tier firm for major litigation. He joined Radcliffe Chambers in 2015 upon his return to practice at the London Bar.

Martin is ranked as a 'Leader in his Field' by Chambers Global 2015 and is described as an 'an up-and-coming star in Bermuda' who is 'thoughtful with a good understanding of complex issues.' He is also recommended by Legal 500 Caribbean.

Martin holds an Economics degree and a Law degree with Honours from Monash University in Australia. He has been admitted in a number of jurisdictions, including Australia, Bermuda and New York.
