We have a large and experienced team of commercial barristers, with expertise across a broad range of areas including civil fraud and asset tracing, company law, contractual disputes, international arbitration, partnership and joint ventures, and tax. Many of our barristers, both QCs and juniors, are recognised by the leading legal directories for their advice on and advocacy in business disputes.

We regularly appear in commercial cases in the Business and Property Court, as well as the Technology and Construction Court, Commercial Court, Mercantile Courts, and on appeal. We are also instructed in arbitrations and to represent the interests of clients engaged in mediation and other forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution.

We work with clients from a wide variety of sectors, including energy, financial services, insurance, professional services, property, retail, sport, telecommunications and transport. We are committed to understanding the unique issues facing our clients across those sectors and, in particular, the rapidly changing regulatory environment in which we all operate.

Many of our barristers combine their commercial practices with strong expertise in financial services regulatory matters, corporate restructuring and insolvency, pensions, professional liability and other complementary disciplines, meaning we are well equipped to act in the ever more complex, multi-faceted disputes which affect modern businesses.

We are also experienced in international disputes, including those that give rise to questions of governing law, jurisdiction, the interpretation and effect of cross-border regulations, and the enforcement of overseas judgments. A number of our barristers appear regularly in international arbitrations under a wide variety of rules, as well as litigation arising from arbitration proceedings, including appeals against arbitration awards, challenges to jurisdiction, interim measures and enforcement.

We have extensive experience working closely with solicitors, accountants and other professional advisors, both domestically and internationally, and pride ourselves on our collaborative approach and accessible style.
