Jessie Barnett-Cox joined chambers in September 2025 as a pupil. She completed her pupillage with chambers in September 2026.
Jessie has worked on complex commercial and international disputes since 2020, having spent five years as an Associate in Skadden’s top-tier International Litigation and Arbitration team before moving to the Bar. Jessie’s notable experience at Skadden includes representing:
- The respondent to an LCIA arbitration, involving contractual claims arising out of dispute concerning the non-delivery of liquified neutral gas cargoes
- The respondents to a major LCIA arbitration, involving financial claims arising out of a dispute concerning an earn-out mechanism in relation to certain trophy assets in the UK
- A private trust company in litigation proceedings in Bermuda, involving a high-value civil fraud claim arising out of a joint-venture with state-controlled entities
- An applicant in ICSID proceedings against the Republic of Iraq, including obtaining a rare successful partial annulment of an adverse ICSID award
Jessie has been assisting Shantanu Majumdar KC with a major LCIA arbitration, acting for the respondent in relation to claims arising under complex international debt instruments.
