Rachel Lane (Pupil)

Rachel joined Chambers in October 2024 and is a second six pupil barrister.
She has been supervised by Martin Ouwehand and Josh Lewison. Her current supervisor is Dawn McCambley.
Prior to starting pupillage at Radcliffe Chambers, Rachel worked as the sole fee earner in the Private Client department of a regional law firm. She specialised in wills, estates and inheritance tax matters.
Rachel studied Law at the University of Cambridge and achieved a Double First Class degree after ranking third in her year. Alongside her studies, Rachel volunteered as a Pro Bono Caseworker for Amicus ALJ which involved reviewing case files and trial transcripts in order to assist in identifying and drafting possible grounds of appeal.
Rachel subsequently went on to complete the Bar Vocational Studies at City Law School. She received a Distinction in each module and received numerous awards, including an Academic Excellence Scholarship and a Barstow Scholarship for ranking third in her year. Rachel was also awarded a Princess Royal Scholarship and Duke of Edinburgh Entrance Award by Inner Temple.
