William Fitzalan Howard joined chambers in September 2025 and is a second six pupil barrister, following nearly seven years as an investment banker. He has been supervised by Reuben Comiskey and Josh Lewison, and from April 2026 will be supervised by Stuart Benzie.

Prior to coming to the Bar, William was a senior equity research analyst at an investment bank. He ran a team specialising in the valuation of transport and infrastructure assets. 

William completed the GDL and an LLM at City Law School, achieving a distinction in both qualifications and winning a prize for his dissertation on company law. He is a Kennedy Scholar of Lincoln’s Inn, and holds an MA (Cantab) in Classics.

William is the Vice-Chair of a Board of Governors at a school in London, sits as a magistrate, and has also served as a trustee of a large charity.
