When instructed by solicitors, and unless otherwise agreed in writing, barrister members of Radcliffe Chambers provide their services on the Standard Contractual Terms for the Supply of Legal Services by Barristers to Authorised Persons 2020 as published on the Bar Council’s website, here. We are happy to consider alternative contractual terms, such as the COMBAR and City of London Law Society Contractual Terms, or other terms which may be negotiated at the time of engagement. Any alternative contractual arrangements must be expressly agreed in writing.

When instructed by persons other than solicitors, barrister members of Radcliffe Chambers provide their services on the terms specifically agreed in each case.

All barrister members of Radcliffe Chambers have professional liability insurance provided by the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund. The scope of the cover provided is worldwide, subject to the Terms of Cover of the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund, which may be accessed here. Some barrister members take out additional top up insurance from time to time. All non-barrister associate members have separate insurance.
