‘Preparing for witness evidence at trial’ and ‘Interim Applications’ – Junior Programme: Litigation

This webinar considered two important topics for litigators. You can watch a recording on our YouTube channel here.

Preparing for witness evidence at trial – hosted by Jonathan Edwards

The recent introduction of Practice Direction 57AC requires a changed approach to the preparation of trial witness statements. As well as this, careful attention needs to be paid to the existing important requirements about hearsay notices and challenging the authenticity of documents, which sometimes go overlooked.

Interim Applications – hosted by Daniel Thorpe

Whether making or responding to applications for summary judgment, strike out, default judgment, extensions of time or relief from sanctions, dealing with interim applications is a vital part of any litigator’s practice. Join Daniel for a look at the key dos and don’ts through the lens of recent case law.

Junior Programme events are aimed at recently qualified lawyers and consist of an hour long webinar covering topical issues such as recent case law. The webinars will however provide a helpful refresher for more experienced practitioners and we welcome all of those who are interested.
