Andrew will discuss the Court of Appeal in Phillips v Barclays Bank PLC recently considered whether a bank’s quincecare duty can extend to directions given directly by its customer where a potential fraud is suspected. This talk will consider the Court’s decision and the potential expansion of the duty.

An Introduction to the Commercial Rent (Coronavirus) Act 2022

The recently enacted Commercial Rent Act creates a legally binding arbitration process to resolve certain outstanding commercial rent debts related to the pandemic. James Fagan will provide an overview of the Act and its consequences for affected landlords and tenants.
