Chloe and Piers will be discussing two important case law updates:

Enforcement against debtor pensions: Judgment creditors have since Blight v Brewster [2012] EWHC 165 (Ch) been able to enforce against judgment debtor pensions, but the recent decision of the Court of Appeal in Manolete v White [2024] EWCA Civ 1418 drew an end to that for occupational pensions with criticism of the apparent sidestep of s. 91 of the Pensions Act 1995. Is this the start of the end of the jurisdiction, or restricted to its facts?

Equitable compensation and dishonest assistants: what is the correct approach to assessment of loss in equitable compensation cases and the scope of a dishonest assistant’s liability in light of the recent Supreme Court decision of Stevens v Hotel Portfolio II UK Ltd [2025] UKSC 28?

​This is an in-person event only and will be hosted at the Ashworth Centre in Lincoln’s Inn.

Junior Programme events are aimed at recently qualified lawyers and consist of an hour long sessions covering topical issues such as recent case law. The sessions will however provide a helpful refresher for more experienced practitioners and we welcome all of those who are interested in joining.
