Radcliffe Chambers and David Mohyuddin KC featured in The Lawyer ‘Top 20 cases for 2023’!

We are delighted to be featured in The Lawyer ‘Top 20 cases for 2023’!

David Mohyuddin KC will be appearing in the High Court in October this year in one of the largest and most-high profile disqualification proceedings to date.

The UK Government is taking legal action to hold eight former directors of Carillion accountable for the collapse of the construction and services giant in 2018.

The government is seeking to disqualify the eight directors in one of the largest and most high-profile disqualification proceedings to date.

The liquidation of Carillion had a major impact on the construction industry and was one of the largest liquidations of the last decade. The company’s liquidators also filed a lawsuit against KPMG, Carillion’s auditor since 1999, for £1.3 billion for alleged breach of duty of care.

The trial is set to begin in October and is expected to last for 25 weeks. If the court rules in favor of the government, the eight directors may be prohibited from serving as directors for a number of years.
