Time to Reconsider Restructuring Plans?

On Wednesday 21st June 2023, we will be hosting our Restructuring and Insolvency seminar ‘Time to Reconsider Restructuring Plans?’ at Arundel House

Chaired by Matthew Weaver KC and with a panel of speakers with significant, recent hands-on experience, including Andrew Brown of Radcliffe Chambers, Steven Cottee of Pinsent Masons, Hayley Çapani of Shoosmiths and Andrew Dalton of BTG Advisory, the seminar will be an opportunity to discuss the recent case law in Part 26A Companies Act 2006 Restructuring Plans and, in particular, the decisions in Re The Great Annual Savings Co Ltd [2023] EWHC 1141 (Ch) and Re Nasmyth Group Ltd [2023] EWHC 988 (Ch); exploring questions such as whether the judicial mood has changed in respect of Restructuring Plans; what HMRC’s current stance on Restructuring Plans is likely to mean for companies going forward; and whether Restructuring Plans are a viable form of corporate restructuring for SMEs or whether they are now likely to be the preserve of the large enterprises.

The seminar will start at 17:30 and will be followed by an evening of drinks from 20:00.
